Introducing....

....the little dood! This isn't the greatest ultrasound picture, but its of his leg, bum and.... see the arrow? This is from last week's ultrasound, I was around 16.5 weeks and have another next week. The best pictures that we got of Adella were during the 12 week ultrasound, when you can see the whole baby. Now that he is getting bigger you can only see certain parts. This pregnancy is definitely different from the last, I have been having some cramping, which is never fun. The doc said it was prob due to the fact that we have had so much going on lately with the move, being sick, etc. and that I should try and take it easy (yeah right). He is really active and I feel him kicking away all the time, that's my favorite part!

In other news, we are finally moved in and working on unpacking! We are loving the new house more and more each day. It's amazing how much stuff we have.... tons and tons of cooking, serving, and kitchen things that were still packed away in our garage from our wedding. We have enough stuff to have a party of over 100 people. What we don't have is furniture, but we're working on that too... slowly. I started planting flowers in the yard, so hopefully by the summer everything will be colorful and full grown, plus the weather has been so nice that we just want to be outside all day. Adella has been quite the little helper around the house. She likes to dig in the dirt, put laundry in the washer/dryer, and pick up any little piece of lint or dust that she can find. She's starting to seem a little OCD with things being dirty and/or out of place.... and gets really upset if her hands are dirty. Such a girl. :)

To get away from all the work in the house, we have started going to Disney again, and will meet friends for a morning or afternoon. I can't even mention the words "pooh", "mickey" or "disney" without Adella insisting we go, or repeating the words like a broken record. We are so lucky to be so close to disneyland and able to simply go for an hour or so during the week. Plus I love eating all the crap throughout the park, we have our usual stops for churros, ice cream, and burgers.

Well, off to finish up a few projects while the princess naps, and then possibly the pool for this afternoon!! It's a beautiful time of year to come out and visit.....

London

My mom and I decided this winter that we were in need of a quick escape to London, for some theatre, shopping, and the pub scene. I brought Adella, and Matt (aka "buck") met us over there too. Tim decided to stay home so it was just a short little family trip. Adella did extremely well while we were there, and she slept about 8 hours of the 10 1/2 hour flight on the way over. We stayed right across from Green Park so we spent a day walking around Buckingham Palace and St. James's park, she saw the London Eye and Big Ben.... Parliament!

Adella got a little taste of what it would be like to live in cold weather, poor thing had to be bundled up everyday and didn't quite understand it, I don't know how mom's do it! She would just nap in the stroller as we cruised around the city and loved all the "chips". We were walking distance to Picadilly Circus and Oxford Street, so we treated Adella to a morning at Hamleys, which put FAO Shwarz to shame. Each floor of the store was dedicated to a different theme, but Adella being the little dork that she is couldn't get her nose out of the books ;).

I have a bunch of pictures to download, but our cord, along with everything else is packed. So here is a pic Buck captured with his iphone, while Adella was shopping at Selfridges.

New House (for real this time)

As most of you know by now, Tim and I have finally bought a new home! We are set to close escrow and start moving on Monday. It's about one mile from where we live now and a mile from J&T's house. We decided to hold off on telling everyone just in case it fell through again, and it has been quite a roller coaster ride with this one. It seems as though the banks policies were changing on an hourly basis and we were running paperwork back and forth nearly everyday for weeks (45 days) ! But all is well now and our current place is all packed up and ready to move. Below is a link to a shutterfly album with a bunch of photo's. It is right on the end of a cul de sac, and we even found a secret park when we went for a walk down the street, so it will be perfect for the kids! Luckily we don't have to do much if any work to it, just painting!

Bebe #2

We have had a lot going on over the past couple of months and it's only going to get busier. Just thought I would write a quick update on bebe #2's progress. I am now 15 weeks along, though I look more like 24... whattyagonado. I'm feeling pretty good and more energetic. During our 12 week screening we got a slight peek at "the goods" and as the technician said it's "looking boyish"! We were sure it was just going to be another girl, and have loads of Adella's clothes ready, but Lexi gets to go shopping! We are thrilled to be having a boy (as long as nothing falls off) and can't wait for sports, trains and fire trucks. I wanted to upload a photo of the ultrasound but they have all been packed away (that's another post) so here is a pic from babycenter.com of what a typical 15 week bebe looks like. I have another ultrasound next week so hopefully I should get some good pics then!

Christmas

Finally getting around to posting a few pictures from Christmas... as most of you know by now I am 9 weeks pregnant!! Our baby is due around August 21st, which probably means just a week after Adella's birthday. The morning/all day sickness has been really hard this time around, and I have been struggling with it everyday. So things such as blog posts, thank you notes, etc. have all been put off, but I will do my best to get everything done asap!

We had a great Christmas and it was so fun having everyone home for a few days. Adella enjoyed opening all her gifts and playing with her crazy uncles. She is getting smarter everyday, in more ways than one. :) She likes to test us now, and see what she can get away with. It's hard to be firm with her, when all we want to do is laugh at how funny it all is, but we're doing our best!! Here are some Christmas morning pics..

This is her new "surprised" look that she does whenever she hears something
